The Services SETA bridges the gap between the formal education and training system and the workplace by facilitating and funding learning programs that develop the skill set required by industries (the world of work). There is no greater reward than changing someone's life for the better. We have been on track to inform young South Africans about the career opportunities and careers available to them through the Services SETA. FAR Part 37.201 (c) defines the technical and engineering services used to support a program office during the procurement cycle.
The Services SETA ensures that service sector skill requirements are identified and that appropriate and appropriate skills are immediately available. FAR 16.505 (c) provides that the ordering period for an advisory and assistance service task order contract, including all options or modifications, cannot exceed five years, unless a longer period is specifically authorized in a law that is applicable to such contract. Employers in the service sector are encouraged to submit Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR). Subpart 37.2 defines advisory and assistance services and establishes that the use of such services is a legitimate way to improve the prospects for success of programs or systems.
