The Services SETA bridges the gap between the formal education and training system and the workplace by facilitating and funding learning programs that develop the skill set required by industries (the world of work). There is no greater reward than changing someone's life for the better. We have been on track to inform young South Africans about the career opportunities and careers available to them through the Services SETA. FAR Part 37.201 (c) defines the technical and engineering services used to support a program office during the procurement cycle.
The Services SETA ensures that service sector skill requirements are identified and that appropriate and appropriate skills are immediately available. Facilitating the development of quality skills for employment and entrepreneurship in the service sector for national economic growth. The use of SETA and NDA contracts enables services that involve systems and data and provide assistance and advice. For example, if a training provider wants to be accredited as a training provider for accounting courses accredited by SETA, they should apply to FASSET, which is the SETA for finance, accounting, management consulting and other financial services.
FAR 16.505 (c) provides that the ordering period for an advisory and assistance service task order contract, including all options or modifications, cannot exceed five years, unless a longer period is specifically authorized in a law that is applicable to such contract. Employers in the service sector are encouraged to submit Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR). Subpart 37.2 defines advisory and assistance services and establishes that the use of such services is a legitimate way to improve the prospects for success of programs or systems.
